About One Walk

The world’s biggest type 1 diabetes fundraising event

Each year, JDRF One Walks brings together approximately a million people from around the globe to raise over £85 million for life-changing type 1 diabetes research. This success is only possible because of the support, commitment and strength of our community.

By joining the JDRF One Walk, you'll be part of the lasting footprint we'll make for the type 1 community now, and for generations to come.

Join us for a celebration of the type 1 community and a fun day out for people of all ages and abilities – from the littlest legs to the most brisk power-walkers.

On the day you can:

  • Visit our information stand and talk to staff to find out more about type 1 diabetes
  • Keep the kids entertained with things like face painting and other fun activities
  • Take in the beautiful scenery and do something active with your Saturday morning
  • Meet others who understand what it means to live with or support a loved one with type 1
  • You will get your very own One Walk t-shirt to wear on the day and earn an exclusive One Walk Medal to celebrate your achievement

Let’s unite, have fun and raise vital funds for type 1 research.

About JDRF

We are the UK's leading type 1 diabetes charity

We are committed to eradicating type 1 diabetes. And until the day we find the cure, we work to improve the lives of those affected by type 1 diabetes in three ways:

Research

We invest in world-class research to find a cure faster and to improve treatments and prevention.

Support

We support and connect both people living with the condition and parents of children diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.

Advocacy

We advocate for better treatment via the NHS, including access to type 1 tech for everyone who wants to use it.
