About One Walk Aberdeen

We are beyond excited to bring back our One Walk to Aberdeen’s Duthie Park. With a jam packed event village and 5km route taking you around the beautiful grounds and beyond – there is something for everyone!

When you sign up you’ll be joining our One Walk community helping to change the lives of people affected by type 1 - now and in the future. Register yourself, family and friends and start fundraising today!   

Event information

One Walk Aberdeen is currently in review with the council and pending approvals. This means that some details of the event are subject to change. If any changes do occur, we will contact you with the updated information.

Event day schedule

Please arrive at the event village with enough time to sign-in and enjoy the event day activities.

After the walk, walkers are encouraged to stay to celebrate your achievements and enjoy the event activities. The walk will conclude at 2:30pm. We look forward to spending the day with you.

JDRF welcome tent

Everyone is invited to come by the JDRF stand on Walk Day to learn more about JDRF and how we are working to create a world without type 1 diabetes. We especially want to meet all our incredible type 1 participants who will receive a Superhero cape to wear, so everyone can celebrate the type 1 heroes we are walking for.

Children's activity area

Visit the children's activity area and check out all the fun complete with inflatables, face painting and multiple activities that are open to everyone.

Please visit our exhibitor area to find great information on the latest type 1 diabetes tech! 

Pets

One Walk is dog friendly! Leashed dogs who do well in large crowds are more than welcome to join you on the day.

They remain the responsibility of the owner and must be kept on the lead at all times.

Fundraising

We ask that everyone taking part in One Walk Aberdeen raises as much as they can for JDRF to help us. When you sign up, a Funraisin page will be automatically set up for you.

Follow our tips below to help reach your fundraising target:

1. Set a fundraising target. We recommend a target of £150, which you can increase if you reach your target early.
2. Personalise your page. Share your story and why you are taking part in One Walk Aberdeen and fundraising for JDRF.
3. Share the link to your fundraising page with friends, family, and colleagues on WhatsApp, email and/or on your social media channels.
   

Raise £150 or more and you will be entered into the One Walk prize draw for your chance to win a £100 John Lewis voucher.
