400,000 people currently live with type 1 diabetes in the UK and we want to play our part in changing that.
Our world was turned upside down in November 2023 when our eldest daughter, Alys, aged 3, was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes.
We are joining Team JDRF for Climb 1 For Type 1: Ben Nevis on Saturday 17 August. We’ll be hiking knowing we are helping make a difference to the lives of people living with type 1, including Alys.
JDRF UK fund world-class research that one day will cure, treat and prevent type 1 diabetes and its complications. JDRF also support the type 1 community and campaign for broader access to life-changing treatments. Their collaborations with the best researchers in the world have led to new developments in diabetes technology and treatment.
