I Must be BONKERS i dont walk never mind do sonething like this, but seeing what type 1 diabetes does to children as young as 5 and there families will give me the push i need to finish it.

I have registered for Tri for Type 1, an exciting virtual triathlon challenge for JDRF (the type 1 diabetes charity). From February to April, I will be running, cycling and swimming my chosen distance towards a cure for type 1.

JDRF UK fund world-class research, support the type 1 community and campaign for broader NHS provision of treatments and technologies. Their collaborations with the best researchers in the world have led to new developments in diabetes technology and treatment.

My names kerry and I work close with families that children have been diagnosed with tpye 1 diabetes. I see the effect that it has not just on the diagnosed child but the family. I'm doing the tri marathon with some close friends and colleagues who also see the effects diabetes have on families. Hopefully we can spread awareness along the way x
